An address is all it takes. You will hear when new work goes up and when the archive changes — nothing else, and not often.
This page asks nothing of anyone until you press the button. When you do, the address is saved on this site's own server and nothing else is — not where you came from, not that you were here. If your browser refuses the request, your mail app opens instead. To be taken off the list, write and say so.
